Clinton Shorter is scoring the upcoming action thriller 2 Guns. The film is directed by Baltasar Kormakur and stars Denzel Washington, Mark Wahlberg, Bill Paxton, Edward James Olmos, Paula Patton and James Marsden. The movie follow a DEA agent and an undercover naval intelligence officer who unwittingly investigate each other as each steals mob money. Blake Masters (Brotherhood, Law & Order: LA) has written the screenplay based on Steven Grant’s graphic novel and Marc Platt (Drive, Wanted, Rachel Getting Married) is producing the project with Andrew Cosby (Eureka), Ross Richie, Norton Herrick (Very Good Girls) and Randall Emmett & George Furla. Shorter has previously collaborated with Kormakur on last year’s Contraband starring Wahlberg and Kate Beckinsale. 2 Guns is set to be released on August 2, 2013 by Universal Pictures.
As previously reported, Shorter has also recently scored the French drama Jappeloup, which just opened in France this past weekend.
