Ad Litteram will release a soundtrack album for the French-Canadian sci-fi drama Mars & Avril. The album features the film’s original music is written by Academy Award-nominated composer Benoit Charest (The Triplets of Belleville). The soundtrack will be released digitally on October 2, 2012 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Audio clips can be checked out after the jump. Mars & Avril is written and directed by French-Canadian artist and Cirque du Soleil alumnus Martin Villeneuve based on his own graphic novels and stars Caroline Dhavernas, Paul Ahmarani, Robert Lepage and Jacques Languirand. The film premiered at the Karlovy Vary Film Festival this summer and will be released in Canada on October 12. No word yet on a domestic release for the movie.
