Ruth Barrett is scoring the new TV drama series Hunted. The show is created by Frank Spotnitz (The X-Files) and stars Melissa George as an operative for an elite private intelligence firm who survives an attempt on her life that may have been orchestrated by members of her own team. Adam Raymer (Hawthorne), Stephen Dillane (Game of Thrones), Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Lost), Morven Christie, Lex Shrapnel, Uriel Emil, Patrick Malahide, Stephen Campbell Moore and Oscar Kennedy are co-starring. Spotnitz is executive producing the series with Alison Jackson, Jane Featherstone (MI-5), Stephen Garrett (Life on Mars, Eastern Promises) and Christopher Aird. The eight-part series is produced by Kudos Film & Television, in association with Big Light Productions and the BBC. Barrett’s previous credits include the Michael Caine-starring thriller Harry Brown, as well as the Helena Bonham Carter-starring Toast directed by S.J. Clarkson who also directed the first two episodes of Hunted. The drama is set to premiere in the UK on October 4, 2012 on BBC and in the US on October 19 on Cinemax. I wonder why he didn’t go with Mark Snow. It’s not unusual, looking over Snow’s credits, to see him scoring two TV shows at the same time and doing movies intermittedly during that. As far as I know, since his agency doesn’t update his resume very well, he’s only scoring “Blue Bloods” — assuming he came back for the new season.
