Steve Mazzaro is scoring the upcoming action thriller Bullet to the Head. The film is directed by Walter Hill (48 Hrs., Red Heat, Last Man Standing) and stars Sylvester Stallone as a hitman who forms an alliance with a cop to exact revenge on the killer of their respective partners. Sung Kang, Jason Momoa, Sarah Shahi and Christian Slater are co-starring in the movie based on the French graphic novel Du Plomb Dans La Tete written by Alexis Nolent. Joel Silver (Sherlock Holmes, The Matrix), Alfred Gough & Miles Millar (Smallville, Shanghai Noon), Alexandra Milchan (Street Kings) and Kevin King Templeton (The Expendables) are producing the project for Silver’s Dark Castle Entertainment and IM Global. The film marks Mazzaro’s first major feature film project. The composer has previously scored various video games and short films. Originally scheduled to be released this spring, Bullet to the Head is now set to open on February 1, 2013 by Warner Bros. Pictures.

Wasn’t Frizzell attached to this one for a minute?
Does the delay have anything to do with Silver leaving WB, setting up shop at Universal and his Dark Castle being embroiled in a lawsuit with Goldman Sachs?
Frizzell was never attached to this film (just an incorrect IMDb entry).
