Atlantic Records will be releasing the official soundtrack album for the highly anticipated film adaptation of The Hunger Games. A soundtrack album featuring the songs from the film is set for a release on March 20, 2012. The album is now available for pre-order on Amazon. T Bone Burnett is producing the soundtrack. It has already been reported that Taylor Swift’s song Safe & Sound will be included on the album. The full track list will be published within the next few weeks. No word yet on a separate album featuring composer James Newton Howard’s original score. The Hunger Games based on the bestselling novel by Suzanne Collins and directed by Gary Ross stars Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Stanley Tucci, Elizabeth Banks and Woody Harrelson.
