Null Records has announced the details of the soundtrack for David Fincher’s The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. The album features the original score from the movie by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, as well as Reznor’s and Karen O’s cover of Led Zeppelin’s Immigrant Song. The soundtrack will be released digitally on December 9, 2011 (visit iTunes to pre-order the album) and later in the month as a 3-CD set, which is now available for pre-order on Amazon. To order a limited edition deluxe package of the album, visit Null Corporation’s online store, where you can also download a six-track, 35 minute sampler with no purchase necessary. The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo marks Reznor’s and Ross’ second collaboration with David Fincher after last year’s The Social Network, which led to an Academy Award win for the composers. The movie based on the bestselling novel by Stieg Larsson stars Rooney Mara, Daniel Craig, Christopher Plummer, Robin Wright, Stellan Skarsgard and Joely Richardson. The thriller will be released nationwide on December 21, 2011. To learn more about the film, visit the official movie website.
