Rupert Gregson-Williams is the composer of the upcoming action comedy Here Comes the Boom. The film starring Kevin James, Henry Winkler, Salma Hayek and Charice centers on a teacher who moonlights as a mixed martial arts fighter in order to save his school’s music program. The movie is directed by Frank Coraci who has previously worked with Gregson-Williams on the 2006 comedy Click and this summer’s Zookeeper. Kevin James and Allan Loeb (21, The Dilemma) wrote the project’s screenplay and James is also producing with Todd Garner (Knight and Day, Paul Blart: Mall Cop. Here Comes the Boom is scheduled to be released on July 27, 2012 by Sony Pictures.
As previously reported, Gregson-Williams also has the Adam Sandler-starring comedy Jack and Jill coming up later this year.
