Film Music Reporter has learned that Trevor Morris has landed his most prestigious feature scoring assignment to date. He will be scoring the upcoming 3D Greek mythology action adventure film Immortals. The movie is directed by Tarsem Singh (The Cell, The Fall) and stars Henry Cavill, Mickey Rourke, Stephen Dorff, Isabel Lucas, Freida Pinto, Luke Evans, Kellan Lutz and John Hurt. The film’s story follows the ruthless King Hyperion leading his bloodthirsty army on a murderous rampage across Greece to find a weapon that will destroy humanity. Theseus, a mortal chosen by Zeus, must lead the fight against Hyperion with the fate of mankind and the gods at stake. Immortals is produced by Mark Canton (300), Gianni Nunnari (Shutter Island) and Ryan Kavanaugh (The Fighter). Relativity Media is planning a November 11, 2011 release for the film.
As previously reported, Morris has a number of other projects including Oren Peli’s TV pilot The River and the Showtime show The Borgias (premiering this Sunday) coming up.
Sorry to ask but is it an April fool day joke ?
No, it’s definitely a surprising choice, but absolutely true!
Thx for your answer! It was just uncertain in my mind… Surprising indeed.
Why so surprising? I’ve heard some great things from Mr. Morris.
