According to Christopher Lennertz’ official website, the composer has begun working on the upcoming dark comedy Horrible Bosses. The movie stars Jason Sudekis, Charlie Day, Jason Bateman, Kevin Spacey, Colin Farrell, Jamie Foxx and Jennifer Aniston. The comedy centers on three best friends who, frustrated by their jobs, come to the conclusion the only solution is to kill one another’s bosses. The film is directed by Seth Gordon (The King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters), who previously worked with composer Alex Wurman on his studio feature directing debut Four Christmases starring Vince Vaughn and Reese Witherspoon. Horrible Bosses is produced by Brett Ratner and Jay Stern and is currently scheduled to be released on July 8, 2011.
Lennertz also has the family comedy Hop coming out in a couple of weeks. The movie centers around an out-of-work slacker who accidentally injures the son of the Easter Bunny and must take him in as he recovers. The film stars Russell Brand as the voice of the Easter Bunny, as well as James Marsden, Elizabeth Perkins, Kaley Cuoco and Hugh Laurie. Hop is directed by Tim Hill, who previously collaborated with Lennertz on the 2008 hit holiday film Alvin and the Chipmunks. Lennertz is also still involved in the TV show Supernatural airing on the CW, scoring every other episode of the show, which is currently in its sixth season.
