The composer duo of Wendy Melvoin and Lisa Coleman has been hired to score the upcoming comedy Jumping the Broom. In the movie, two very different African American families converge on Martha’s Vineyard one weekend for a wedding. The movie stars Julie Bowen, Paula Patton, Angela Bassett, Loretta Devine and Mike Epps. Jumping the Broom marks director Salim Akil’s feature directorial debut.
