Film Music Reporter has learned that Mychael Danna recently finished scoring the upcoming romantic comedy Going The Distance. The movie directed by Nanette Burstein centers on a man and woman in a long-distance relationship who ultimately come to the realization that they would be happier dating someone closer to home. The movie stars Drew Barrymore, Justin Long, Christina Applegate, Charlie Day and Jason Sudeikis. Nanette Burstein previously collaborated with Mychael’s brother Jeff Danna on the documentary The Kid Stays in the Picture.
