Disney confirmed today that Andrea Datzman is scoring Pixar Animation Studios’ upcoming feature Inside Out 2. The sequel to the original 2015 film (scored by Michael Giacchino) is directed by Kelsey Mann and features the voice talent of Amy Poehler, Lewis Black, Phyllis Smith, Tony Hale, Liza Lapira, Ayo Edebiri, Maya Hawke, Adèle Exarchopoulos, Paul Walter Hauser, Lilimar, Kensington Tallman, Diane Lane, Kyle MacLachlan, Sumayyah Nuriddin-Green, Grace Lui and Yvette Nicole Brown. The movie introduces a group of new Emotions, including Anxiety, to now-teenager Riley’s mind. Mark Nielsen (Toy Story 4) is producing the project. Datzman has previously composed the music for Pixar’s short Carl’s Date and co-scored the studio’s animated shorts series Dug Days. She also served as the score coordinator of the original Inside Out movie. Inside Out 2 will be released in theaters nationwide on June 14 , 2024 by Walt Disney Pictures.

Why no Giacchino? I´m really a little bit disappointed. And who is Andrea Datzman? Any idea?
Datzman worked as Michael Giacchino’s scoring coordinator on Star Trek, Star Trek Into Darkness, and Star Trek Beyond.
