Apple TV+ has announced a soundtrack album for the streamer’s original series Central Park. The album features the original songs from the show composed by the project’s principal songwriters Kate Anderson, Elyssa Samsel & Brent Knopf. Other songs included are Weirdos Make Great Superheroes (featured in episode 2) written by Sara Bareilles, I’m in a Perfect Relationship (episode 8) written by Meghan Trainor, New York Doesn’t Like Your Face (episode 10) written by Fiona Apple, as well as contributions by Cyndi Lauper, Alan Menken, Darren Criss and Anthony Hamilton. The songs from the first two episodes are now available to stream on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. Songs for the following episodes will be released weekly with the full soundtrack album coming out on July 24, 2020. Central Park is created by Loren Bouchard, Josh Gad & Nora Smith and stars Gad, alongside Kristen Bell, Daveed Diggs, Tituss Burgess, Kathryn Hahn, Leslie Odom Jr. and Stanley Tucci. The animated musical comedy revolves around the Tillermans, a family that lives in Central Park. The series is premiering today exclusively on Apple TV+.
