Bear McCreary has recently composed the music for the upcoming horror thriller Eli. The film is directed by Ciaran Foy (Sinister 2, Citadel) and stars Charlie Shotwell, Lili Taylor, Kelly Reilly, Max Martini and Sadie Sink. The movie centers on a young boy undergoing treatment for a rare disease at a secluded clinic, which becomes a haunted prison with no way out. David Chirchirillo (Cheap Thrills), Ian Goldberg (Fear the Walking Dead) and Richard Naing (The Autopsy of Jane Doe) wrote the screenplay. Trevor Macy (The Haunting of Hill House, Oculus) is producing the project for Intrepid Pictures, alongside John Zaozirny for Bellevue Productions. Eli, which was originally set to be released theatrically this month by Paramount Pictures, will premiere later this year exclusively on Netflix.
McCreary’s other upcoming projects also include Godzilla: King of the Monsters, McG’s Rim of the World, Blumhouse’s Happy Death Day 2U, The Professor and the Madman starring Mel Gibson & Sean Penn. He also continues to score AMC’s The Walking Dead, ABC’s Marvel’s Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Starz’s Outlander.
