Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross have composed the score for the upcoming sci-fi thriller Bird Box. The film is directed by Susanne Bier (After the Wedding, In a Better World) and stars Sandra Bullock, Trevante Rhodes, Jacki Weaver, Rosa Salazar, Danielle Macdonald, Lil Rel Howery, Tom Hollander, Colson Baker, BD Wong, Sarah Paulson and John Malkovich. The movie based on the bestselling novel of the same name by Josh Malerman follows a mother, and two children navigate a hostile, even demonic landscape after an apocalyptic event. Eric Heisserer (Arrival) wrote the screenplay. Dylan Clark (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, Oblivion), Chris Morgan (Fast & Furious) and Clayton Townsend (Bridesmaids, Knocked Up) are producing the project. Bird Box will be released on December 21, 2018 in select theaters and on Netflix.

Enchanting and beguiling the atmospheric music balanced between hope, distress and otherworldly memory, instantly caught my attention, after finding the score information on the Wikipedia I wasn’t surprized to find out who was responsible.
