Samuel Sim and Chris Egan are currently scoring the upcoming Starz limited series The Spanish Princess. The show is based on Philippa Gregory’s best-selling novels, The Constant Princess and The King’s Curse and marks the third installment in the fantasy series following the mini-series The White Queen and The White Princess. Charlotte Hope stars in title role as Catherine of Aragon, alongside Nadia Parkes, Aaron Cobham, Alan McKenna, Richard Pepper, Olly Rix, Jordan Renzo, Daniel Cerqueira and Alicia Borrachero. Emma Frost (The Man in the High Castle) and Matthew Graham (Life on Mars, Doctor Who) return as showrunners and are also executive producing the project with Colin Callender (The Dresser, Wolf Hall), Scott Huff (Howards End, The Missing) from Playground and Charlie Pattinson (Requiem) and Charlie Hampton (Shameless). John Lunn (Downton Abbey) has previously scored the first two installments, The White Queen and The White Princess. The Spanish Princess will premiere in 2019 on Starz.
Sim has previously scored numerous movies and TV shows, including the 2007 feature Awake and the TV series The Halcyon, Home Fires and this year’s Innocent. Egan’s previous scoring credits include the Channel 4 series Man Down.
