Zack Ryan has composed the original score for the new Lifetime original movie Michael Jackson: Searching for Neverland. The film is directed by Dianne Houston and stars Navi in the title role, alongside Chad L. Coleman and Sam Agedoke. The movie is based on the best-selling book, Remember the Time: Protecting Michael Jackson in His Final Days, by Bill Whitfield, Javon Beard & Tanner Colby and centers on the hidden drama that took place during the last two years of the pop star’s life. Elizabeth Hunter (Jumping the Broom, The Fighting Temptations) wrote the script and Suzanne de Passe (Sister, Sister), Madison Jones, Robert Teitel (Barbershop, Men of Honor) and Peter McGuigan are executive producing the project. The drama will premiere this Memorial Day, May 29, on Lifetime. Visit the official movie website for more information.
Ryan whose previous scoring credits include I Smile Back starring Sarah Silverman and the Amazon original series Just Add Magic also has the Netflix original movie A Christmas Prince directed by Alex Zamm (Inspector Gadget 2, Beverly Hills Chihuahua 2) coming up. The film is expected to premiere later this year.
I just did a search to find out more about the opening song and music for the Lifetime’s movie, Michael Jackson: Searching for Neverland and now I want to know can I purchase the soundtrack somewhere or a MP3 for one or more songs; especially and most definitely the opening scene with the lights and the plane landing.
I love how PERFECT the music was for the scene. I was thinking, Michael would love this music and he probably had a hand in composing it (spiritually, of course). I guess now I will search for Zach Ryan’s music to attempt to find out more about this music that he scored for Michael Jackson’s movie on Lifetime. I must say, I very much loved the movie and watched it each time it aired and recorded in case I missed something while watching it…so Yeah, I enjoyed it quite a lot. D.J.
