Dan Romer is reteaming with writer/director Joe Swanberg (Drinking Buddies, Happy Christmas) on the upcoming indie comedy Win It All. The film starring Jake Johnson, Aislinn Derbez, Joe Lo Truglio and Keegan-Michael Key revolves around a small time gambler who agrees to watch a duffel bag for an acquaintance who is heading to prison and discovers cash in the bag. Swanberg and Johnson also co-wrote the screenplay and are producing the project with Alex Orr (Easy). Romer has previously scored Swanberg’s last feature Digging for Fire and also wrote music for his Netflix original series Easy. Win It All will premiere next month at the SXSW Film Festival.
Romer’s upcoming projects also include William H. Macy’s Krystal. He also scored several movies that premiered at recent film festivals, including Freak Show, The Little Hours, Chasing Coral & Katie Says Goodbye, and are expected to be released within the next year.
