The composer duo of tomandandy has recently scored the upcoming thriller 47 Meters Down. The film is directed by Johannes Roberts (The Other Side of the Door, Storage 24) and stars Mandy Moore, Claire Holt and Matthew Modine. The movie follows two fun-loving sisters on vacation who decide to go cage-diving to view great white sharks and find themselves trapped at the sea bottom with less than an hour of oxygen left in their tanks. Roberts has also written the screenplay with Ernest Riera (The Other Side of the Door). James Harris & Mark Lane (Cockneys vs Zombies) are producing the project. 47 Meters Down is expected to premiere later this year and will be distributed in the U.S. by Dimension Films/TWC.
The composer team whose previous scoring credits include The Mothman Prophecies, Resident Evil: Afterlife & Retribution, The Rules of Attraction and The Hills Have Eyes have also composed the music for the upcoming horror thriller There Are Monsters. The film is written and directed by Bryan Bertino and stars Zoe Kazan, Scott Speedman, Aaron Douglas and Ella Ballentine. The movie follows a mother and daughter who are trapped and tormented by a ruthless creature. William Green (Ali G Indahouse) & Aaron Ginsburg (Mojave) are producing the project for Atlas Independent, alongside Adrienne Biddle (Mockingbird) for Unbroken Pictures. Tomandandy have previously collaborated with Bertino on the 2008 hit feature The Strangers. There Are Monsters is also expected to premiere later this year and will be distributed stateside by A24 Films.
