Atli Orvarsson is set to compose the music for the upcoming animated feature Ploey – You Never Fly Alone. The film directed by Árni Ólafur Ásgeirsson (Brim) and co-directed by Gunnar Karlsson tells the story of a chick whose family migrates to warmer climates before he has learned to fly. Fridrik Erlingsson (Legends of Valhalla) has written the screenplay. Hilmar Sigurdsson and Haukur Sigurjónsson are producing the project for the Icelandic production company GunHil and Ives Agemans is producing for the Belgian animation studio Cyborn. Ploey – You Never Fly Alone is expected to be released in 2017.
Orvarsson has also recently scored the first Middle Eastern-produced animated feature Bilal, which premiered in December at the Dubai Film Festival and will be released later this year.
