Dickon Hinchliffe is scoring the upcoming indie comedy drama Geezer. The film is written and directed by Lee Kirk (The Giant Mechanical Man) and stars Billie Joe Armstrong, Fred Armisen, Judy Greer, Selma Blair, Chris Messina and Madsiyn Shipman. The movie follows a happily married father of two who – on the occasion of his 40th birthday – seeks to revisit his former life as the lead singer in a popular punk band. Tim Perell (Shortbus, World’s Greatest Dad, Last Chance Harvey), Alex A. Ginzburg and Tony Lee are producing the project. Geezer will premiere next month at the Tribeca Film Festival.
Hinchliffe also has the Netflix original movie Special Correspondents coming up. He also composed the music for Ira Sachs’ Little Men, which premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival and was picked up by Magnolia Pictures for a domestic release later this year.
