Christopher Lennertz is composing the score for the upcoming romantic comedy My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2. The movie is directed by Kirk Jones (Nanny McPhee, Everybody’s Fine, Waking Ned Devine) and stars Nia Vardalos, John Corbett, Lainie Kazan, Michael Constantine, Andrea Martin, Ian Gomez, Alex Wolff, Elena Kampouris, John Stamos, Rita Wilson and Joey Faton. The sequel follows as Toula and Ian are struggling to find time for each other while managing their lives and a teenage daughter, while also having to deal with yet another Greeker wedding. Vardalos has also written the screenplay. Tom Hanks & Gary Goetzman (The Polar Express, Charlie Wilson’s War, Larry Crowne) are producing the Playtone production with Rita Wilson. Lennertz (Horrible Bosses, Agent Carter, Ride Along, Think Like a Man) also has the comedy The Boss starring Melissa McCarthy coming up. The composer is also scoring the animated feature Sausage Party. The film is directed by Greg Tiernan & Conrad Vernon (Shrek 2, Monsters vs. Aliens) and features the voice talent of Seth Rogen, Kristen Wiig, Jonah Hill, Michael Cera, Edward Norton, James Franco, Danny McBride, Nick Kroll, Bill Hader, Salma Hayek and Paul Rudd. The movie revolves around one sausage’s quest to discover the truth about his existence. As previously reported, Alan Menken who previously collaborated with Lennertz on ABC’s Galavant has written the film’s songs. Sausage Party will be released on August 12, 2016 by Sony Pictures.
