This week, Benjamin Wallfisch is recording his music for the upcoming horror thriller Lights Out at The Bridge Recording Studios in Glendale, CA. The film is directed by David Sandberg and stars Teresa Palmer, Gabriel Bateman and Alexander DiPersia. The movie is based on the director’s short film of the same title and follows a young boy and his estranged sister who are confronted by an evil entity that only appears when the lights are out. Eric Heisserer (Final Destination 5, The Thing) has written the screenplay and is also producing the New Line Cinema production with James Wan (The Conjuring, Furious 7, Insidious) and Lawrence Grey. Wallfisch has previously scored the Heisserer-directed drama Hours starring Paul Walker. Lights Out is set to be released on in 2016 by Warner Bros. Pictures.
Wallfisch’s other upcoming projects also include Bitter Harvest starring Max Irons & Samantha Barks, as well as the James Wan-produced horror thriller Within.
