Craig Wedren is scoring the upcoming Netflix original series Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp. The show is directed by David Wain is a prequel to the original film and tells the story of the first day of Camp Firewood’s famous summer season. Elizabeth Banks, Bradley Cooper, Michael Ian Black, Judah Friedlander, Janeane Garofalo, Christopher Meloni, Joe Lo Truglio, Ken Marino, Marguerite Moreau, Zak Orth, Amy Poehler, David Hyde Pierce, Paul Rudd, Molly Shannon, and Michael Showalter are reprising their roles from the 2001 film. They are joined by Jon Hamm, Chris Pine, Jason Schwartzman, Kristen Wiig, Lake Bell, Paul Scheer, John Slattery Rob Huebel and Randall Park. Wain co-wrote the scripts with Showalter. Wedren has scored the original film and also collaborated with Wain on most of his other projects, including Role Models, Wanderlust, Wainy Days and They Came Together. Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp will premiere on July 17, 2015 on Netflix.
Wedren also has recently scored the first season of ABC’s Fresh Off the Boat, which will come back for a second season this fall.
