Marcelo Zarvos has been tapped to score the upcoming spy thriller Our Kind of Traitor. The film is directed by Susanna White (Nanny McPhee Returns, Parade’s End) and stars Ewan McGregor, Stellan Skarsgard, Naomie Harris, Damian Lewis and Jeremy Northam. The movie based on the novel by John le Carre (The Constant Gardener, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy) follows a couple who get embroiled with a Russian oligarch and high-profile money launderer while on holiday in Marrakech. Hossein Amini (The Two Faces of January, Drive, Snow White and the Huntsman) has written the screenplay. Simon Cornwell & Stephen Cornwell (A Most Wanted Man) are producing the project for The Ink Factory, alongside Gail Egan (A Little Chaos) for Potboiler. Our Kind of Traitor is currently in post-production and is expected to premiere later this year.
Zarvos’ upcoming feature projects also include the romantic drama The Choice based on the novel by Nicholas Sparks and the Stephen King adaptation Cell. The composer is also expected to return to score the new seasons of Showtime’s Ray Donovan and The Affair later this year.
