Alec Puro has signed on to score the upcoming ABC comedy Manhattan Love Story. The show is created by Jeff Lowell (John Tucker Must Die, Spin City) and stars Analeigh Tipton, Jake McDorman, Nicolas Wright, Jade Catta-Preta, Chloe Wepper and Kurt Fuller. The series exposes the unfiltered internal monologues of a young couple embarking on a new relationship. Lowell is also executive producing the ABC Studios production with Peter Traugott (Samantha Who?), Robin Schwartz, Rachel Kaplan and Jon Liebman (Ringer). Michael Fresco (My Name is Earl, Raising Hope) has directed the pilot episode. Manhattan Love Story is set to premiere this fall and will air every Tuesday night on ABC. Puro also continues to score the ABC Family drama The Fosters, which is set to return for its second season on June 16. The composer of such films as The Art of Getting By, The First Time and Higher Ground has also composed the music for the thriller The Scribbler, which has recently been picked up for domestic distribution by XLrator Media. Also coming up for Puro is the indie drama Mall directed by Joseph Hahn and starring Vincent D’Onofrio, Gina Gershon, Peter Stormare and Cameron Monaghan. The composer collaborated with Linkin Park on the project, which is expected to premiere later this year.
