‘Rush’ Soundtrack Details

rushThe details of the soundtrack album for the upcoming racing drama Rush have been revealed. The album features the film’s original music written by Academy Award-winning composer Hans Zimmer. Also included are the songs featured in the film, including Dave Edmunds’ I Hear You Knocking, Steve Winwood’s Gimme Some Lovin, Mud’s Dyna-mite, Thin Lizzy’s The Rocker and David Bowie’s Fame. The soundtrack will be released digitally on September 10, 2013 and physically on September 24 by WaterTower Music. To pre-order the CD, visit Amazon. Rush is directed by Ron Howard and stars Chris Hemsworth, Daniel Brühl, Olivia Wilde, Alexandra Maria Lara, Stephen Mangan, Christian McKay, Julian Rhind-Tutt, Jamie de Courcey, Pierfrancesco Favino and Natalie Dormer. The movie about the rivalry between James Hunt and Niki Lauda and their Formula One racing teams, McLaren and Ferrari during the 1975/76 season will be released on September 20, 2013 in New York and Los Angeles by Universal Pictures and expand nationwide on September 27.     “Gimme Some Lovin'” as featured amongst Hans Zimmer’s own, “Days Of Thunder;” i’m sure they couldn’t resist. Sounds like vintage, organic Zimmer electronics this time round.
