Dickon Hinchliffe is the composer of the upcoming indie comedy drama Hateship, Loveship. The film is directed by Liza Johnson (Return) and stars Kristen Wiig, Guy Pearce, Hailee Steinfeld, Nick Nolte, Christine Lahti and Jennifer Jason Leigh. The movie on follows a nanny who is set up romantically by the granddaughter of an old man she takes care of. Mark Poirier (Smart People, Goats) wrote the screenplay based on Alice Munro’s novel Hateship, Friendship, Courtship, Loveship, Marriage. Dylan Sellers (Footloose, Agent Cody Banks), Cassian Elwes (The Paperboy, Men at Work), Robert Ogden Barnum, Jamin O’Brien, Michael Benaroya (Margin Call, Lawless) are producing the Benaroya Pictures production. Hateship, Loveship is expected to premiere at one of the major film festivals this fall.
Hinchliffe whose previous film scoring credits include Winter’s Bone, Last Chance Harvey and Shadow Dancer has also taken over scoring duties on the crime drama Out of the Furnace. The film is directed by Scott Cooper (Crazy Heart) and stars Christian Bale, Casey Affleck, Woody Harrelson, Zoe Saldana, Forest Whitaker, Willem Dafoe and Sam Shepard. The movie follows two brothers in an economically depressed part of the American Rust Belt. When one brother has to go to prison, the other is lured into a ruthless gang. Alberto Iglesias was previously attached to score the film as reported last year. Out of the Furnace is set to be released on October 4, 2013 by Relativity Media.
