Film Music Reporter

A soundtrack album has been released for the indie drama Detachment. The album includes the original score from the film written by The Newton Brothers. The soundtrack is now available to download on iTunes, where you can also listen to audio clips. Detachment is directed by Tony Kaye (American History X) and stars Adrien Brody, Christina Hendricks, James Caan, Lucy Lio, Bryan Cranston, Blythe Danner, Marcia Gay Harden and Tim Blake Nelson. The movie depicting three weeks in the lives of high school teachers, administrators and students through the eyes of substitute teacher premiered at last year’s Tribeca Film Festival and is now playing in limited release.
