Last week, Amelia Warner (Mary Shelley, Wild Mountain Thyme, Mum’s List) has recorded her score for the upcoming romantic comedy Mr. Malcolm’s List. The film is directed by Emma Holly Jones and stars Zawe Ashton, Freida Pinto, Sope Dirisu, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Theo James and Ashley Park. The movie is set in the early 19th Century and revolves around a society lady who gets jilted by London’s most eligible bachelor when she fails to meet one of the items on his list of requirements for a bride and enlists her friend to help her take revenge by tricking him into thinking he has found his perfect match. Suzanne Allain wrote the screenplay based on her novel of the same title. Holly Jones is also producing the project with Untitled Entertainment’s Laura Rister (The Tale, Prisoners of the Ghostland), Rebelle Media’s Laura Lewis (Long Weekend) and Blinder Films’ Katie Holly (Love & Friendship, Vita & Virginia). Mr. Malcolm’s List is set to be released this year and will be distributed in the U.S. by Bleecker Street.
