Polydor Records has released a soundtrack album for the French drama Waiting for Bojangles (En attendant Bojangles). The album features the film’s original music composed by Olivier & Clare Manchon (Black Box, Colliding Dreams, The Drummer, Deceptive Practice: The Mysteries and Mentors of Ricky Jay). Also included is a song by Lola Flores, as well as Marlon Williams’ cover of Jerry Jeff Walker’s Mr. Bojangles arranged by Clare & Olivier Manchon (listen to the track after the jump). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out the track list and listen to audio samples. A CD version is also being released overseas this Friday. Waiting for Bojangles is directed by Régis Roinsard and stars Virginie Efira, Romain Duris, Grégory Gadebois and Solan Machado-Graner. The movie is based on Olivier Bourdeaut’s 2016 novel of the same name and follows a man and a woman who spend their time dancing to their favorite tune Mr. Bojangles. The drama is being released in French theaters today.
