Harry Gregson-Williams (The Chronicles of Narnia, The Martian, Shrek, Kingdom of Heaven, Man on Fire) has been tapped to score the upcoming sci-fi action thriller Infinite. The film is directed by Antoine Fuqua (Training Day, The Magnificent Seven, Southpaw) and stars Mark Wahlberg, Dylan O’Brien, Sophie Cookson, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson, Rupert Friend, Jason Mantzoukas and Tom Hughes. The movie is based on D. Eric Maikranz’s novel The Reincarnationist Papers and centers on a troubled young man haunted by memories of two past lives who stumbles upon Cognomina, a secret society of people who possess total recall of their past lives, and decides to join their ranks. John Lee Hancock (The Blind Side, Saving Mr. Banks) and Ian Shorr (Splinter) wrote the screenplay. John Zaozirny (Eli) and Mark Huffam (The Martian, Johnny English) are producing the project with Lorenzo di Bonaventura (Transformers, G.I. Joe, The Meg) and Mark Vahradian (RED, Bumblebee, Deepwater Horizon) for Di Bonaventura Pictures. Gregson-Williams has previously collaborated with Fuqua on 1998’s The Replacement Killers, as well as both The Equalizer movies. Infinite is currently scheduled to be released on August 7, 2020 by Paramount Pictures.
Gregson-Williams has also recently scored Niki Caro’s Mulan, which is currently awaiting a new release date. The composer has also composed the music for the Amazing Stories episode Signs of Life, which is set to premiere on March 27 and also co-scored Spectrum’s Manhunt: Deadly Games, which premiered last month.
