Milan Records has released a soundtrack album for the French comedy The Shiny Shrimps (Les Crevettes Pailletées). The album features the film’s original music composed by Thomas Couzinier & Frédéric Kooshmanian (Black Spot, Goal of the Dead). Also included are songs by R.E.M., The Music Yard, Harshman & others. The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out the full track list and listen to audio samples. A CD version will also be released overseas. The Shiny Shrimps is directed by Cedric Le Gallo & Maxime Govare and stars Nicolas Gob, Alban Lenoir, Michaël Abiteboul, David Baiot, Romain Lancry and Roland Menou. The movie follows an Olympic champion at the end of his career who seeks redemption after making a homophobic statement on TV by coaching the Shiny Shrimps, an amateur gay water polo team. The comedy is opening in French theaters today. No word yet on a domestic release.
