The composer duo of tomandandy (47 Meters Down, The Strangers, The Mothman Prophecies) is reteaming with director John R. Leonetti (Annabelle, Mortal Kombat: Annihilation) on the upcoming horror thriller The Silence. The film starring Stanley Tucci, Miranda Otto, Kiernan Shipka and John Corbett. The movie is based on the book of the same title by Tim Lebbon and revolves around a family struggling to survive in a world terrorized by a deadly, primeval species who have bred for decades in the pitch darkness of a vast underground cave system, hunting only with their acute hearing. Carey & Shane Van Dyke (Chernobyl Diaries) wrote the screenplay. Robert Kulzer (Resident Evil series, Wrong Turn, Fantastic Four), Alexandra Milchan (Street Kings, The Terror) and Scott Lambert are producing the project. The composers have previously collaborated with Leonetti on last year’s Wish Upon. The Silence was originally set to be released this December by Global Road Entertainment before the company filed for bankruptcy and is currently looking for a new distributor.
As previously reported, tomandandy also have the horror thriller Haunt and Roger Avery’s crime thriller Lucky Day coming up.
