Milan Records will release a soundtrack album for the Japanese animated feature Mirai. The album features the film’s original music composed by Masakatsu Takagi (Wolf Children, The Boy and the Beast). The soundtrack is already available in several markets and will be released in the U.S. later this month. Visit Amazon to pre-order the CD version, which is set to come out on November 30 and listen to a full track after the jump. Mirai is written and directed by Mamoru Hosoda and follows a young boy who encounters a magical garden which enables him to travel through time and meet his relatives from different eras. The animated film premiered at this year’s Cannes Film Festival and was released in various international markets over the last couple of months. The movie will be released in select U.S. theater on November 30 by GKIDS.
