Mariah Carey is recording an original song for Sony Pictures Animation’s upcoming feature The Star. The song, entitled The Star, will also be featured on the film’s soundtrack album, which is set to be released by Epic Records. The Star is directed by Timothy Reckart and features the voices of Steven Yeun, Gina Rodriguez, Zachary Levi, Keegan-Michael Key, Kelly Clarkson, Anthony Anderson, Kristin Chenoweth, Tracy Morgan, Tyler Perry and Oprah Winfrey. The movie revolves around a small but brave donkey who yearns for a life beyond his daily grind at the village mill and, one day, finds the courage to break free, and finally goes on the adventure of his dreams.
