Clinton Shorter is composing the music for the upcoming CBS medical drama Code Black. The show is created by Michael Seitzman (North Country, Here On Earth) and stars Marcia Gay Harden, Bonnie Somerville, Raza Jaffrey, Luis Guzmán, Melanie Chandra, Harry M. Ford, Benjamin Hollingsworth and William Allen Young. The series is based on Ryan McGarry’s feature documentary about an understaffed emergency room team at Los Angeles County Hospital. Seitzman is also executive producing the ABC and CBS Television Studios production with David Marshall Grant, Brett Mahoney, Molly Newman, Ryan McGarry, Marti Noxon (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, UnREAL) and Linda Goldstein Knowlton (The Shipping News, Crazy in Alabama). David Semel has directed the pilot episode. Shorter has previously scored the Seitzman-created CBS drama Intelligence. Code Black is set to premiere on September 30, 2015 and will air every Wednesday night on CBS. For updates on the series, visit the official show website.
