Sony Classical will release a new soundtrack album for the Starz original series Outlander: Blood of My Blood. The album features selections of the original score from the show’s second season composed by Emmy Award winner Bear McCreary (The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, The Walking Dead, Happy Death Day, Godzilla: King of the Monsters, Battlestar Galactica, 10 Cloverfield Lane, God of War, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Freaky). Also included is a new version of the opening titles song For My Love That’s Lost performed by Julie Fowlis. The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, September 18. The streaming/download link will be added to this page later this week. The label has previously released an album featuring the composer’s music from Season 1 last year. Outlander: Blood of My Blood is developed by Matthew B. Roberts and stars Jeremy Irvine, Hermione Corfield, Jamie Roe, Harriet Slater, Tony Curran, Sam Retford, Séamus McLean Ross, Rory Alexander and Conor MacNeill. Season 2 of the Outlander prequel, which follows Henry & Julia Beauchamp who are separated once again as the Scottish Highlands are split in two by the 1715 Jacobite Rising, will premiere on September 18 and will air every Friday night on Starz.
