Electronic music artist Tim Hecker (Infinity Pool, The North Water, Predators, The Free World) has recently scored the upcoming drama Down the Arm of God. The film is directed by Peter Brunner (To the Night) and stars Caleb Landry Jones, India Marie Cross, Nick Stahl, John P.W. Jones and Mena Suvari. The movie inspired by true events revolves around a young pastor who goes through a harsh winter in a small Texas town, where his mission to help the homeless is faced with resistance by his congregation, exposing systemic failures and deep-seated prejudice. Brunner & Landry Jones also co-wrote the screenplay. Landry Jones is also producing the EuropaCorp production with Luc Besson (The Professional, The Fifth Element), as well as Christian Sosa & Jon Wroblewski (Our Hero, Balthazar, Osiris). Hecker has previously scored Brunner’s last feature, Luzifer. Down the Arm of God will premiere next month at the 2026 Locarno Film Festival.
