The Newton Brothers (Daredevil: Born Again, X-Men ’97Five Nights at Freddy’sThe Forever Purge, The Walking Dead: World Beyond, The Grudge, Life of Crime) are scoring the upcoming Prime Video limited series Carrie. The show is written by Mike Flanagan based on Stephen King’s debut novel of the same name and stars Summer Howell in the title role of Carrie White, alongside Samantha Sloyan, Siena Agudong, Alison Thornton, Joel Oulette, Arthur Conti, Josie Tota, Thalia Dudek, Amber Midthunder and Matthew Lillard. The 8-parter follows the titular misfit high‑schooler who is forced to navigate a viral bullying scandal that tears through her community, the casual cruelty and relentless pressure of the social‑media age, and the awakening of mysterious telekinetic powers that rise alongside her adolescence. Flanagan serves as the project’s showrunner and is also executive producing the Amazon MGM Studios production with King. He is also directing four episodes. The composers have previously scored all of Flanagan’s (directorial) features, including OculusOuija: Origin of EvilDoctor Sleep & The Life of Chuck, as well as his TV shows The Haunting of Hill HouseThe Haunting of Bly Manor, The Midnight Club, Midnight Mass and The Fall of the House of UsherCarrie will premiere this fall exclusively on Prime Video.

The Newton Brothers also continue to score Disney+’s Daredevil: Born Again, which has been renewed for a third season and X-Men ’97, which just returned for its second season earlier this month.
