Quartet Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1983 adventure drama High Road to China directed by Brian G. Hutton and starring Tom Selleck, Bess Armstrong, Jack Weston, Robert Morley, Wilford Brimley, Cassandra Gava and Brian Blessed. The album features the film’s newly remastered complete original score composed and conducted by Academy Award winner John Barry (Dances with Wolves, Out of Africa, Goldfinger, Somewhere in Time, Body Heat, Indecent Proposal, The Man with the Golden Gun, Chaplin). The 2-CD set, which is limited to 1,500 copies, is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also check out audio samples and find out more about the release. BSX Records has previously released an expanded soundtrack for the title back in 2010. High Road to China is now available on VOD, Blu-ray and DVD.
