The full details of the soundtrack album for the French biographical drama De Gaulle: Tilting Iron (La Bataille de Gaulle – L’âge de fer) have been revealed. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award winner Volker Bertelmann (All Quiet on the Western Front, Conclave, Dune: Prophecy, Lion, Pressure, Adrift, The Day of the Jackal, The Amateur, A House of Dynamite, One Life). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, June 3 by Milan Records. A CD and vinyl edition will also be coming out in France. A first track (Vive de Gaulle) has previously been released as a digital single last month. De Gaulle: Tilting Iron is directed by Antonin Baudry and stars Simon Abkarian, Simon Russell Beale, Florian Lesieur, Mathieu Kassovitz, Loïc Corbery, Benoît Magimel, Anamaria Vartolomei, Niels Schneider and Félix Kysyl. The movie chronicle the rise of French army officer Charles de Gaulle who lled the French resistance against Nazi Germany during World War II and eventually became president of France. The drama premiered at this year’s Cannes Film Festival and will be released in French theaters tomorrow. The second part, De Gaulle: The Sovereign Edge, will open in French theaters on July 3. No word yet on a domestic release.
