Michael Giacchino (Up, Lost, Spider-Man: Far from Home, Jurassic World, Ratatouille, The Batman, The Incredibles, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story) has been tapped to score the upcoming sci-fi drama The End of Oak Street. The film is written and directed by David Robert Mitchell (It Follows, Under the Silver Lake) and stars Anne Hathaway, Ewan McGregor, Christian Convery, Maisy Stella, Chris Coy, P.J. Byrne, Bethany Anne Lind, Pilot Bunch, Hudson Meek and Andrea Frankle. The movie follows a family whose neighborhood gets transported someplace unknown after a mysterious cosmic event rips the titular street from suburbia and soon discovers that their very survival depends on them sticking together as they navigate their now unrecognizable surroundings. J.J. Abrams (Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Star Trek) who regularly collaborates with Giacchino is producing the project with Mitchell, Tommy Harper (Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, Wednesday), Matt Jackson (End of Watch, Molly’s Game), Hannah Minghella (Lou, The Blue Angels) and Jon Cohen. The End of Oak Street will be released in theaters nationwide on August 14, 2026 by Warner Bros. Pictures.
As previously reported, Giacchino also has Marvel’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day, as well as the animated features Ray Gunn & High in the Clouds coming up.
