Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the Canadian mockumentary Nirvanna the Band the Show the Movie. The album features the film’s original music composed by Jay McCarrol (BlackBerry, The Kid Detective, Operation Avalanche, Hell of a Summer, The Dirties). Nirvanna the Band the Show the Movie the Score will be released digitally tomorrow, February 20. Check back on this page for the streaming/download link. Nirvanna the Band the Show the Movie is co-written (with McCarrol) and directed by Matt Johnson and stars Johnson and McCarrol themselves. The movie follows Matt & Jay as they accidentally travel back to the year 2008 when their plan to book a show at the Rivoli goes horribly wrong. The comedy premiered at last year’s SXSW Film Festival and was released in U.S. theaters last weekend by Neon.
