This week, Daniel Pemberton (Spider-Man: Into/Across the Spider-Verse, Enola Holmes, Steve JobsThe Man from U.N.C.L.E.The Bad Guys, Materialists, King Arthur: Legend of the SwordBirds of Prey) has been recording his score for the upcoming romantic dramedy The Drama. The film is written and directed by Kristoffer Borgli (Dream Scenario, Sick of Myself) and stars Zendaya, Robert Pattinson, Alana Haim, Hailey Benton Gates and Mamoudou Athie. The movie revolves around a happily engaged couple who is put to the test when an unexpected turn sends their wedding week off the rails. Lars Knudsen (Bugonia, The Northman), Ari Aster (Hereditary, Midsommar) and Tyler Campellone (Death of a Unicorn, Sasquatch Sunset) are producing the project. Pemberton’s score is being recorded at Abbey Road Studios in London as revealed by Borgli on Instagram. The composer has previously scored the Aster-directed 2025 feature Eddington. The Drama will be released in theaters nationwide on April 3, 2026 by A24.

Pemberton’s other upcoming projects include Phil Lord’s & Chris Miller’s Project Hail Mary (to be released in theaters on March 20, 2026) and Sony Pictures Animation’s Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse (to be released on June 27, 2027). He also continues to co-score Apple TV’s Slow Horses, which will return for a sixth and seventh season.
