22D Music has released a soundtrack album for the French coming-of-age drama The Little Sister (La petite dernière). The album features the film’s original music composed by Amine Bouhafa (Timbuktu, Four DaughtersAd VitamBeauty and the Dogs, The Man Who Sold His SkinGagarine). The Little Sister is co-written and directed by Hafsia Herzi and stars nd Amina Ben Mohamed. The movie tells the story of a French-Algerian teenager, the youngest of three daughters, as she searches for her own path, grappling with emerging desires, her attraction to women, and her loyalty to her caring French-Algerian family. The drama premiered at this year’s Cannes Film Festival and has just been released in French theaters last month. Strand Releasing has picked up domestic distribution rights for a release in the U.S. in 2026.
