Leo Birenberg (Cobra Kai, Weird: The Al Yankovic StoryBottoms, Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous, Twisted Metal, Son of ZornFlorida Man) is the composer of the new Apple TV+ original animated series The Sisters Grimm. The show is developed by Amy Higgins & Erica Rothschild based on Michael Buckley’s bestselling book series and features the voice of Ariel Winter, Leah Newman, Laraine Newman, Billy Harris, Abubakar Salim and Harry Trevaldwyn. The animated fantasy adventure tells the story of two orphaned sisters as they navigate a town full of people torn straight from fantasy and fairy tales, confronting heroes and villains alike, while investigating the mystery of their missing parents. Higgins also serves as the showrunner and is executive producing the project with Buckley, Elliot Blake, Philip Alberstat, Steven Amato and Theresa Park (Bones and All, After Yang), as well as animation studio Titmouse’s Chris Prynoski, Shannon Prynoski & Ben Kalina (The Legend of Ex Machina, Big Mouth) and Antonio Canobbio (Haunted Hotel, Digman!). The Sisters Grimm will premiere next Friday, October 3 exclusively on Apple TV+.

Birenberg’s recent projects include Gabe Polsky’s feature documentary The Man Who Saves the World?, which will be released in select theaters next month. He also continues to score Netflix’s Jurassic World: Chaos Theory, which will return for its fourth and final season on November 20 and co-score Disney+’s Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man,, which will return for a second season.
