A soundtrack album has been released for the Japanese drama Seaside Serendipity (Umibe é Iku Michi). The album features the film’s original music composed by Zo Zhit (of the experimental hip hop group Dos Monos) who has made his feature scoring debut on the project. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and most other major digital music services. Also listen to the artist’s first two tracks below. Seaside Serendipity is written and directed by Satoko Yokohama and stars Konosuke Harada, Kumiko Aso, Kengo Kora, Koharu Sugawara, Erika Karata, Nobuhiro Suwa, Ayame Goriki, Jun Murakami, Kankuro Kudo and Maki Sakai. The movie takes place in a seaside town with long-term residents of all ages and genders has recently started attracting artists drawn by a project in the area and follows a group of characters during an unforgettable summer. The drama premiered at this year’s Berlin Film Festival and is being released in Japanese theaters this weekend. No word yet on a domestic distribution deal.
