Amelia Warner (Young Woman and the Sea, Mr. Malcolm’s List, Wild Mountain Thyme, Mum’s List) has teamed up with Sam Thompson (Shark Whisperer, 007: Road to a Million, JFK: One Day in America, Britain and the Blitz) to score the upcoming crime thriller Unidentified. The film is directed by Haifaa Al Mansour (Wadjda, The Perfect Candidate) and stars Mila Al Zahrani and Shafi Al Harthi. The Saudi language movie follows a newly divorced, true crime aficionado who recently lost a child who gets obsessively involved when a lifeless body of a teenage girl is discovered in the desert and is determined to identify the body and uncover the truth. Al Mansour also co-wrote the screenplay with Brad Niemann. They are both also producing the project. Warner has previously collaborated with Al Mansour on 2013’s Mary Shelley. Unidentifed will premiere next month at the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival and will be distributed in the U.S. by Sony Pictures Classics.
