A24 Music will release the official soundtrack album for Ari Aster’s contemporary western/comedy Eddington. The album features the film’s original score composed by Daniel Pemberton (Spider-Man: Into/Across the Spider-Verse, Steve Jobs, Enola Holmes, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, Birds of Prey) & Bobby Krlic (aka The Haxan Cloak) (Midsommar, Blue Beetle, Beef, Beau Is Afraid, The Alienist: Angel of Darkness, Returnal). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, July 18. Eddington is written and directed by Aster and stars Joaquin Phoenix, Pedro Pascal, Austin Butler, Emma Stone, Clifton Collins Jr., Luke Grimes, Deirdre O’Connell, Micheal Ward, Amélie Hoeferle and William Belleau. The movie is set in the American Southwest during the tumultuous summer of 2020 and centers on a standoff between a small-town sheriff and the mayor of the titular New Mexico town that sparks a powder keg. The western premiered at this year’s Cannes Film Festival and is being released in theaters nationwide this weekend by A24.
